Team Becon's CSR Initiative: Sorting Preloved Toys for Recycling with Re:Play Toy Hub

Team Becon is proud to announce our recent Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in collaboration with Re:Play Toy Hub. As part of our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community welfare, we volunteered to sort preloved toys for recycling at Da Men Mall.

This initiative, held in September 2022, aimed to reduce waste and promote a circular economy by giving new life to toys that would otherwise be discarded. By participating in this event, Team Becon showcased our dedication to making a positive impact on the environment and supporting initiatives that benefit our community.

Through our partnership with Re:Play Toy Hub, a pioneering organization in toy recycling, we contributed to diverting toys from landfills and encouraging a culture of reuse and sustainability. Our team members worked diligently alongside volunteers from the community to ensure that the sorting process was efficient and effective.

At Team Becon, we believe that small actions can lead to significant change. By participating in initiatives like this, we demonstrate our commitment to corporate citizenship and our role in creating a better, more sustainable future for all.

Becon Cares Campaign: Spreading Joy through Toy Donations

In January 2023, Team Becon invited everyone to participate in our Becon Cares Campaign by donating preloved toys to any of our Becon outlets. Your contributions brought smiles to the faces of children in need and supported our mission of fostering community well-being.

Alternatively, participants could make a difference by purchasing stationery items to donate to the Becon Cares charity box at our outlets. Every donation, big or small, helped us make a positive impact on the lives of those less fortunate.

To streamline the collection process, all donated toys from different branches were gathered and brought to Becon outlets at Bandar Puteri Puchong and Becon USJ Taipan. There, the Replay Toy Bus (powered by Play Unlimited) was stationed to collect the toys.

The toys collected through this initiative were utilized for the establishment of community libraries at various locations, including RKK Cheras, PPR communities, Orang Asli villages, and shelter homes. Your generosity contributed to enriching the lives of children and promoting literacy within underserved communities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in spreading joy and making a difference through the Becon Cares Campaign. Your support was invaluable in creating a brighter and more compassionate world for all.

Team Becon's Act of Kindness: Supporting Elderly and Vulnerable Communities in 2023

In 2023, Team Becon embarked on a heartfelt initiative to bring essential groceries and necessities to Persatuaan Kebajikan Orang-orang Tua Bahagia Selangor "En Yuan" Old Folks Home and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Yatim dan Cacat Perlindungan Selangor.

This act of kindness aimed to provide support and comfort to elderly individuals and vulnerable children in our community. Our team recognized the importance of lending a helping hand, especially during challenging times, and sought to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

The groceries provided included essential food items to ensure that the residents of the old folks home and orphanage had access to nutritious meals. Additionally, we supplied gloves, masks, and hand sanitizers to help protect them from the spread of illnesses, demonstrating our commitment to their health and well-being.

Team Becon values the opportunity to give back to our community and is dedicated to making a positive impact wherever possible.
